Renesmee

I was at Grandpa Charlie's house with my boyfriend Jacob. I heard my mom and dad leave, so Jacob and I were alone to do what we wanted, Grandpa had probably fallen asleep watching the baseball. Jacob logged off the computer  then he gestured for me to sit on his lap. I folded the corner of the page I was up to in my mom's ancient copy of "Wuthering Heights" and went over. His warm lips kissed mine. I kissed him back and he picked me up; still kissing me, and spun me around, before dropping me on the bed and laughing. I smiled at him as he stared at me in awe; he loved me more than anything. You could say that he wanted to grow old with me, but we knew that would never happen, we would love each other forever, and I knew that.
I kissed his cheek, then got up from the bed and walked around my mom's old bedroom. It reminded me of a time capsule, Grandpa Charlie hadn't touched or moved anything since the morning of mom and dad's wedding, the last morning she ever woke up in that house. The faded yellow wallpaper was covered in
photographs. I put on mom's old nightgown and wandered round the room. The nightgown had mom's human scent all over it. It made me feel warm inside, it was how she smelled when I first saw her, the first and last time I saw her human.
I inspected all of the pictures slowly around the walls, taking in every detail of mom's human life. There were hundreds of pictures of mom and dad, a few of her human friends, including Mike; who I disliked, pictures of mom's graduation and mom and Jacob.
I hadn't realized Jacob was standing behind me until I felt his warm hands on my waist. He laughed loudly at the pictures of himself. He had long hair; it was waved and tangled, as if he had never brushed it. There was a picture of mom and my grandma, Renée, who I had never met before, but it seemed as if I knew her seeing as mom never stopped talking about her, she missed her. Mom told me I couldn't see her because she hadn't seen her in 20 years and it would be a shock to see that she hadn't aged. I understood this, but I didn't need to look older, I already looked 19, and I needed to meet her! I'd already met my other 3 grand-parents, and it was only fair for a girl to meet her grandmother!
I pressed my hand on Jacob's face, showing him the picture again, zoomed in on Renée's face.
'You want to meet her don't you?' Jacob smiled. I nodded, and then fell back onto the bed.
'It’s not fair! It's just because mom is afraid to see her. Can you get Grandpa to call her and get her to come over for my birthday?' Nothing was happening on my birthday, so why couldn't I have the one thing I wanted most?
'I don't know sweetie, I'd have to ask your mom first, it's not up to Charlie.' Jacob seemed weird. I nodded; I supposed mom would need to prepare an excuse for not visiting and aging. She was supposed to appear thirty-eight, but she was frozen, like me; in an eighteen year old body. I lay down and closed my eyes.

I hadn't realized I'd gone to sleep, until I woke up and the sun was shining through the gap in the curtain. I was inside the bed and Jacob was snuggled next to me. I picked up my cell phone from the night stand. It was 11:20am.
'Jake! Jake, get up!' I shook him violently.
'What?' he said 'Oh, morning!' smiling, he got out of bed and put on his ripped shorts. I wrapped the night gown around me and went downstairs
Grandpa Charlie was eating a bowl of cereal. He shook the box offering me some, I agreed since I was enjoying human food now. Jacob came downstairs after his shower and he grabbed a bowl, while I went to take a shower.
It took me a fairly long time to wash my hair as I'd never cut it. Mom wouldn't let me, she loved it too much. Aunt Alice would try and persuade her, but she stuck on her word, although it almost reached the back of my knees. Jacob loved running his fingers through it, he said it calmed him down. I got out of the shower and went to get dressed... I wore the same clothes I wore yesterday, because I hadn't brought any others. If Aunt Alice had seen me, I would have been dead. She didn't allow any of us, especially me, to wear the same clothes twice. I combed my hair carefully, not to disturb the ringlets. I hadn't brought any make up with me, so I used some of mom's mascara, but that had mainly dried up over time, so it wasn't of much use.
Walking downstairs, Jacob smiled.
'Hey beautiful, your mom called, she wants you home in 5 minutes.' I figured that it would take around 5 minutes to get home, so I kissed Grandpa Charlie on the cheek, then left with Jacob.
Once we were far enough away from Grandpa Charlie's house, Jacob phased and I clambered onto his back while he ran. I nestled my head into his warm, furry shoulder like I did when I was younger.

Reaching the house, I could hear mom and dad talking and two other voices, which I couldn't register. Jacob phased back and put on a pair of shorts and a t-shirt, that had been left out for him, by mom most likely. He didn't stop smiling all this time.
'What's going on?' I asked, confused. He just looked at me, a wide grin spread across his face. He grabbed my hand and we walked through the front door into the living room, where mom, dad, a balding man and a greying woman sat. When we entered, the woman stood to face me, her eyes open in shock and hands over her mouth.
'Renesmee?' she said, then ran over to me and hugged me.
'Nessie, this is your grandmother, Renée.' Dad smiled.
